Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium Groundbreaking Set

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior and Yellowjacket Athletics will be hosting a formal groundbreaking ceremony for Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium at noon Thursday, April 25.  
The stadium, which will serve as the on-campus home of the Yellowjacket men's and women's soccer teams as well as the men's and women's track and field teams, has an anticipated completion date of August 2024.
 
Thursday's event, which is open to the public, will take place between Crownhart Hall and Ostrander Hall along Catlin Avenue.
 
Speakers at the groundbreaking will include UW-Superior Chancellor Dr. Reneé Wachter, Superior Choice Credit Union President Tim Foster, and a member of the ownership group from Northern Interstate Construction, Inc., the projects contractor.
 
There will also be a number of photo opportunities staged at the event.
 
Coaches and student-athletes from the Yellowjacket men's and women's soccer and men's and women's track and field teams will also be available for interviews and photos upon request.
